Hurricane? What Hurricane?

When the chickens heard about the hurricanes due to strike the island they had two real concerns.  Do Mom and Dad have enough corn scratch to last a few extra days?  And, if there is any thunder can we please come inside the house?  Chickens don’t seem to mind rain and some wind but thunder and lightening are just out of the question for them.  It turned out that, once again, the two giant volcanoes to the east of us broke up the storm and we had nothing more than a little wind and rain.  In preparation for their overnight stay in the big house (so they thought) they made sure to take nice dust baths to get rid of the mites.  Thoughtful little chickens.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
